How to get to Leukerbad: -
By bus:
Bus stop is right in front of the house, leaves every hour and takes 27
minutes.
- By
car: roughly 10 minutes (6 km). -
On foot:
via well developed hiking paths. For those who do not suffer from
vertigo there is a path over the well known "Albiner ladders"). About 2
hours.

On the
left:
The wild river Rhone between “Susten” and “Salgesch”. On the far right
behind the old corked tree there is the biggest pine wood in Europe
called “Pfynwald” which is a big nature reserve.

To the
right: As far as one can see: nothing but vineyards. In the region
between “Leuk” and “Sierre” you will mainly find Pinot Noir for red wine
and Chasselas (in the Valais called “Fendant”) for white wine.
You shouldn’t miss the opportunity to taste the regional wine in one of
the rustic wine cellars. |
